RE-ENERGISE 4 - AVIEMORE 2009
Just what I like to see when I arrive at an event -
someone with Holy Socks on their feet.
The Fish design - representing Matthew 17, 27
"go to the sea and cast a hook, and take the first fish
that comes up, ... open its mouth and you will find a coin.
Take it and pay our taxes."
Quite appropriate for this time of year and might send quite a few of us
rushing for the fishing rods!
The Fish were on the feet of this gentleman,
Guy Douglas, an organiser of the conference.
(apologies for the quality of the photos, Guy,
I'll try to do better next time.)
Don't know what the name of the character on the right is, but he was on the
MECO stand, (Middle East Christian Outreach)opposite us. That's me on the left.
Hello to Ivy, and hope the new job with Prospects is going well.
Prospects is a Christian voluntary organisation that is committed to supporting
people with a learning disability so they may live their lives to the full,
physically, psychologically,emotionally and spiritually.
Thanks to Scott from the Church of Scotland stand who helped me to pack up
at the end of the weekend.
And then many thanks to Janette from Cinnamon in Newton Stewart, who accompanied
me and helped in so many ways.
If you're visiting Newton Stewart, Cinnamon, is the Christian book, gift
and coffee shop in the main street. Great soup, great hot chocolate and great chat.
Thanks to all those involved in organising the event.
Holy Socks were back in Aviemore for Deep Impact, January 23rd-25th.
