Holy Socks on the Scottish Rally.
Lee Kerr gave the "Lilies of the Field" their very first outing in a
rally car on the Rally Otterburn Tyneside Stages on June 22nd 2008.
Reading the notes for Andrew Timpson, Lee didn't have time to look out
for many lilies en route and the pair finished a creditable 21st.
The Perfume Flask graced Lee's feet on the Scottish Rally,
based in and around Dumfries in South West Scotland on Saturday, June 28th.
Like many other crews they went off on the slippy Stage One,
but managed to get out the ditch and completed the rally - all
be it with a couple of dents in the car.
Maybe the Perfume Flask isn't the best design for a rally crew!
Driver Ian Archer was wearing the "Journeying Sock" camels.
And then there was Jock Armstrong!
You need to know your left from your right if you're driving a rally car,
and just in case Jock forgot, he got a little help from our
Sheep and Goats
design. (The goat was on other foot.)
Jock's co-driver Roger Herron was wearing the "Journeying Sock."
Jock finished in 7th. place.
The whole event was overseen by Clerk of the Course, Jonathan Lord,
who was wearing his Ark and Rainbow design.
