WEARER OF THE WEEK
Our Wearer of the Week is Robert Ibberson from Leeds.
Robert visited us in the summer in Newton Stewart, and was photographed
on his bike with his Holy Socks (Burning Bush variety.)
We couldn't resist asking him to be
a Wearer of the Week.

How do you spend your time?
Being - a busy retired husband, father of 5 and

crying!

A great deal.

My family.

How would you describe your spiritual journey so far?
Seasonal - like the
weather.
If you could witness an incident in the Old AND New Testament, what would
they be and why?
OT; Jonah being taken by the Whale: because it would
confirm my view of the allegorical nature of the story but affirm the
fundamental truth and example of it.
N.T: The Feeding of the 5,000: because
I think I know the explanation of that extraordinary event.
Is there a particular Bible verse which you keep in mind?
No!.
A particular hymn?
"For those in peril on the Sea"
Do you have any preference for a translation of the Bible?
Yes.
How did you first encounter Holy Socks?
My wife gave me a pair after a visit
to Lincoln Cathedral.
Which design and to whom will you send a pair of Holy Socks?
Not yet
decided but probably several family members and friends so a selection of
appropriate ones.
Where have Holy Socks walked on your feet?.
So far mostly on cycle pedals
in Scotland - but I have not had them long!
