A couple of weeks ago our "Wearer of the Week" was Ginger - so now we have Fred!
That's Fred Booth, the Rev. Fred Booth, retired minister of St. Columba Church of Scotland in Helensburgh.

Where do you live?
Helensburgh

How do you spend your time?
A very searching question. Probably too much on church work.

What is your earliest memory of church/religion/spirituality?
Falling in love with my Sunday School teacher when I was 8.

How would you describe your spiritual journey so far?
A bit erratic.

What different challenges does the church face now to when you first entered the ministry?
The challenges of loving each other and taking the world's other faiths seriously.

What would you do differently if you were being ordained now?
I would visit more and not be afraid of youth.

For what in your life are you most grateful to God?
My calling and my families (birth and by marriage.)

Which part of your character do you feel God has done most work on?
The bit that needs forgiven.

Which do you feel needs a bit of work?
Self-discipline.

If you could witness an incident in the Old and New Testaments, what would they be and why?
Creation. (Then we'd know how He did it).

The risen Jesus with the nailprints in his hands.

Is there a particular Bible verse which you keep in mind?
"Love your enemies."

How did you first encounter Holy Socks?
The person who makes them gave me a pair. (I rmember that Fred.)

Which design and to whom would you like us to send a pair of Holy Socks?
Crook and Sheep to a friend of mine.

Where have Holy Socks walked on your feet?
Up and down the steps of St. Columba's pulpit steps and mainly around Helensburgh.
